How to apply numbing cream

1. Purchase a tube of 5% lidocaine topical numbing cream from your local pharmacy. We recommend Zensa brand cream but any product with sufficient lidocaine content will work.

2. Apply a very thick layer covering your entire tattoo by gently patting the cream on- do not rub it in. If you think you’ve applied too much cream, it’s probably just the right amount :)

3. Wrap the area securely in plastic wrap. Tape the edges to prevent air from drying out the numbing cream. Do not use any more plastic wrap than necessary as it will allow the cream to spread out too much, which may result in the numbing effect being reduced or not effective at all

4. Leave the numbing cream on for a minimum of 1 hour prior to your session to ensure the product has sufficiently numbed your skin

5. Leave the cream on, do not remove it before your appointment as the laser technician will remove the cream right before your session
